Visit to the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

As part of the official visit of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI) delegation to Singapore, Muscat College participated in the visit to the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) — Singapore’s first university to adopt an applied learning model that integrates education with real-world industry experience.

During the visit, the delegation explored SIT’s innovative research ecosystem, learning how the university transforms industrial challenges into practical and sustainable solutions. The sessions highlighted SIT’s strong collaboration with industry partners and its mission to produce career-ready graduates equipped with future skills.

A key feature of the visit was a presentation on the Living Lab, an interactive environment where ideas are tested, refined, and applied in real industry settings. Delegates also toured SIT’s advanced research centers specializing in development, technology, and innovation, gaining insights into how research is applied to enhance productivity and innovation across multiple sectors.

Muscat College’s participation underscores its commitment to global partnerships, practice-based education, and innovation-led learning.
