About Program

Why is this field important?
Cyber Security is one of the most critical fields in todays digital world.Organizations, governments, and individuals rely heavily on digital technologies, making the protection of data, networks, and information systems essential. As cyber threats continue to increase in complexity and frequency, there is a growing demand for professionals who can identify vulnerabilities, prevent cyberattacks, protect digital assets, and ensure business continuity. This programme equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to address modern security challenges through areas such as ethical hacking, cryptography, cyber threat intelligence, penetration testing, security risk management, and digital forensics.

Why should I study this programme?
This programme offers a strong combination of academic knowledge and industry-focused learning. The unique 3u1i (Three Years at University, One
Year in Industry) model allows students to gain both theoretical understanding and practical experience. Students spend three years building a solid foundation in computer science and cyber security, followed by industry-based learning and professional training in their final year. The curriculum covers key areas such as programming, networking, software engineering, information security, ethical hacking, secure software development, and cyber security operations. The final year of the programme is dedicated to industry engagement. During this period, students complete their Undergraduate Project and three elective courses in the first semester, followed by Industrial Training in the second semester, which is conducted within an industry setting. This structure provides students with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to real-world professional environments, enhancing their employability and industry readiness upon graduation. This programme is offered in affiliation with the University of Malaysia Pahang Al- Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Malaysia.
