Cyber Security and Forensics is a critical field in today’s digital world because organizations, governments, and individuals increasingly depend on computers, mobile devices, networks, cloud services, and AI technologies. As cyber threats continue to grow, there is a greater need to protect digital assets, manage security risks, investigate cyber incidents, and recover digital evidence. Cyber Security helps prevent and mitigate attacks, while Digital Forensics enables professionals to investigate security breaches and extract digital evidence for legal and organizational purposes.

The MSc Cyber Security and Forensics programme is designed to meet current industry needs by combining expertise in both cyber security and digital forensics.   • Duration:
    1 Year (3 Semesters) in Full-Time Mode of Study for Master
    1 Year (2 Semesters) in Full-Time Mode of Study for PG Diploma
  • Degree Awarding Body: After the successful completion of the program requirements, the students will be awarded the Award Certificates from the University of Westminster, UK.

  •  Yearly Intakes: Two (September and January).

Entry Requirements

1- Academic Criteria

Candidates can be admitted if they have one of the following:

  • A minimum of a second-class Honours degree in a computing-related discipline or an equivalent qualification. If a bachelor’s degree does not have a strong computing element, then work experience and other qualifications may also be considered.
  • Applicants with a Diploma/HND and significant appropriate/relevant work experience in the field (a minimum of six years experience and a minimum of three approved training courses) can apply after prior approval.

2- English Requirements

IELTS (or equivalent): 

  • If your first language is not English, you should have an IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.5 in writing and no element below 6.0.
  • Candidates who do not possess the required IELTS score can still enroll after completing the Muscat College Postgraduate Qualifying Programme (PQP
