Quality Assurance
Muscat College has given high importance to Quality Assurance since its inception. The College emphasises on providing quality higher education to its graduates. The College is committed towards ensuring that its programmes are up to date and are of highest academic standards. It has a well-established Quality Assurance Framework that facilitates the monitoring and enhancement of teaching, learning and associated support services.
The Central Quality Assurance Committee (CQAC) is responsible for quality assurance of both academic as well as administrative frameworks. CQAC is a planning forum for the discussion and promotion of developments in quality assurance policies, processes and procedures, whether internally driven or externally indicated. It oversees the College’s adherence towards initiatives and requirements of external bodies concerned with quality assurance, such as, the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) and affiliated institutions.
The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) is responsible for establishing quality assurance, control, and improvement procedures for both the academic and administrative areas of the College. QAD provides support for the execution of the policies and procedures pertaining to Quality Assurance. The Department supports in developing and fostering the culture of quality assurance across the College. QAD also carries out internal audit of the College’s academic and administrative departments to ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Framework set by the external and internal regulations.
