This is a combined degree of Business Studies and Accountancy courses. An accounting degree empowers you to prepare, present, and interpret financial information for a wide range of organizations, and the skills you learn will enable investors, lenders, management, and others to make key decisions based on financial facts. The business Study course will grow your managerial expertise and put foundations in place to ensure you continue developing through your professional life. you’ll also learn how organizations are structured, and gain insight into what makes them function best. The Bachelor with Honours in Accountancy and Business Studies course is designed specifically for students planning a career in the Accountancy profession and/or the wider financial sector. The programme will be enable students to understand the world of accounting and finance, and to apply and convey there knowledge in a professional manner. Programme Structure is designed to provide students with a broad grounding in the subjects of Accountants, Finance and Business studies. Analytical techniques that underpin business activity and management are also introduced. Modules will also be undertaken by students from Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. This programme was offered in collaboration with the University of Stirling, UK, and the last new intake to this programme was in September 2022 for the academic year 2022/23.
- Credit Points: 492 Credit Points for the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Accountancy and Business Studies.
- Diploma Exit Award: 252 Credit Points for the Diploma in Higher Education in Accountancy and Business Studies.
- Duration: 4 Years in Full-Time Mode of Study/ 6 Years in Part-Time Mode of Study.
- Degree Awarding Body: After the successful completion of the program requirements, the students will be awarded the Award/Exit Certificates from the University of Stirling.
Graduates of this programme gain exemption from professional bodies’ exams, as well as opening up opportunities with finance-related organizations, insurance, information management, advertising, retailing international trade, and research and development. They are contributing to the performance of a range of private, public, and third sector organizations. Fresh graduates from this programme have the opportunity to be placed as Accountant, Assistant External Reporting, Assistant External Auditor, Internal Auditor, technical or officer in Stock market brokers, Bank officer, or officer in organizations in different sectors such as Insurance, Aviation, hospitality or Logistics.
After some years of experience, graduates are able to be placed in a higher level of jobs, such as Senior Accountant, External reporter, External Auditor, senior technical or officer in Stock market brokers, Senior Bank officer, or senior officer in organizations in different sectors such as Insurance, Aviation, hospitality or Logistics.
