Scottish Qualifications Authority

SQA is a government sponsored agency accountable to the Scottish Government, and sits at the heart of Scotland’s world-renowned education system. SQA is one of the four partner national organisations involved in the Curriculum for Excellence. It works with its partners on all strands of development. Its principal role is to contribute to work on qualifications and assessment.

SQA offers internationally recognized qualifications and consultancy services to help governments and people realize their full potential. SQA qualifications are high quality, flexible and relevant to industry. This means they are designed to suit the changing needs of different countries and industry providers. They provide a route to employment, develop the skills of staff and can provide advanced university entry.
