One Day International Online Workshop on Real-Time Object Detection (ROD2022)
REAL-TIME OBJECT DETECTION:
Object detection is one of the most important applications of computer vision. Object detection is the task of simultaneous localization and identification of an object that is present in an image. For autonomous vehicles to safely navigate the streets, the algorithm must detect the presence of pedestrians, roads, vehicles, traffic lights, signs, and unexpected obstacles. In security, the presence of an intruder can be used to trigger an alarm or inform the appropriate authorities.
OBJECTIVE:
Keeping Oman’s vision 2040, Muscat College, being one of the oldest private colleges in Oman, has taken the leading step by organizing an international workshop on Real-Time Object Detection. This would be an opportunity for the youth in Sultanate of Oman to get the knowledge and practical experience with the latest technology and tools used in Data Science and help them to explore new horizons in their career.

RESOURCE PERSON:
Dr. S Suresh Kumar
Dr S Suresh Kumar M.S, Ph.D (CSE) – BITS Pilani, a Data Science coach with over 26 years’ experience in Data Science with having served both in India and Abroad and currently having trained professionals from lead organisations such as Bosch, IBM, Accenture, Indian Army, MSME (Govt of India) etc (to name a few) will coach all participants using FUSION technology, wherein all concepts right from scratch till solving industry ready problems will be dwelled upon by him. Dr. Suresh have also been involved in many Industrial Consultancy projects in Data Science which has helped the Organization transform themselves.
