Entry Requirements

To study with The University of Stirling (UoS) or Universiti Malaysia Pahang in partnership with Muscat College, students need to meet entry requirements of the chosen programme.

Undergraduate entry requirements

  • Pass in Final Secondary School (General Education Diploma) or equivalency,
  • Pass the General Foundation Program(GFP) of Muscat College
  • Pass in Final Secondary School (General Education Diploma) or equivalency,
  • Pass the General Foundation Program(GFP) of Muscat College
  • Pass in Final Secondary School (General Education Diploma) or equivalency,
  • Pass the General Foundation Program(GFP) of Muscat College

Undergraduate Programmes English Language requirements

English Language Placement Test: English is the medium of study at Muscat College, Therefore, all applicants must take a diagnostic assessment test in English, Math and IT prior to final acceptance for commencement of study. Candidates who meet the foundation programme exit requirements or have an equivalent score recognized by Muscat College will join the post foundation diploma and honours programmes.

Other Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes

  • Entry requirement into the University of Stirling Undergraduate Programmes for HND holders is B grades in all graded units of the HND Programme
  • Mandatory College Requirement: Entrepreneurship - Creativity and Innovation course during the second year of Academic programme
  • Students who apply for an official programme exit are not allowed to re-join the programme unless they complete a minimum of one year “leave of absence” (For Sponsor students by Ministry of Higher Education).

Accreditation of prior learning for Diploma and Bachelor Programmes

Applicants may be considered through the accreditation of prior learning, which may be certificated or experiential. The admissions and registration staff are responsible for determining the grounds on which accreditation is acceptable. All applications are subject to approval of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Conditions for applicants with working experience applying for a diploma or bachelor's programmes:

  • The Applicant should have a minimum of not less than preparatory school certificate.
  • Working Experience not less than 6 years accredited by the Ministry of Manpower
  • The number of training courses is not less than 3 courses approved by the Ministry of Manpower, except for courses obtained by form government entities and the British Council
  • Age is not less than 25 years
  • A copy of the identity card
  • Original certificate of experience approved by the Ministry of Manpower + copies thereof.

Master’s entry requirements

To join MSc Management

A minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is required

English language requirements:

You must have one of the following English language skills:

  • IELTS: 6.0 with 5.5 minimum in each skill
  • 1ST TOEFL: 80 with no subtest less than 17
  • Exception may be provided if the student graduated with the degree that confirmed as being taught and assessed wholly in English in the last five years

To join MSc Big Data

  • A bachelor’s degree or a minimum of a second class honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent in a relevant subject is required.

when applying

  • Degrees should be in a numerate subject such as mathematics, computing, engineering or an analytic science.

MSc Big Data English language requirements

You must have one of the following English language skills:
